DJ equipment hire FAQs

Where are you based and where do you deliver?
We're based in Hackney, East London. We deliver across London and can discuss deliveries further afield on request.

How do I book or get a quote?
Message us on WhatsApp with your date, the kit you'd like and whether you need delivery, set-up or collection. We'll confirm availability and send you a full price, usually the same day. You can also email us.

How does pricing work?
All prices are per day. Collect on Friday and return on Monday and you only pay for one day. A full week costs two days. For other hire lengths, just ask.

When can I collect and return?
Collection is on Friday between 10am and 4pm and returns are on Monday between 10am and 4pm, from our base in Hackney. If you need a different day or time, let us know and we'll do our best.

How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, as popular dates book up quickly. We recommend at least two weeks in advance for standard hire and four or more weeks for larger productions or events that need an on-site engineer.

Do you require a deposit?
No. We don't take deposits and we don't charge VAT. The price you see is the price you pay.

How much does delivery cost?
Delivery and collection start from £30 each way and depend on your location. Send us the venue postcode and we'll give you an exact price.

Can you set up and stay for the whole event?
Yes. We can deliver, set up the full system and stay on site for your event to run the sound and lighting and handle any technical issues. The on-site engineer is charged at an hourly rate. If you don't need anyone on site, we can just set up and de-rig.

What happens on my first hire?
New customers fill in a short booking form before the hire. We'll send you the link when you book.

What do I need to do when I return the kit?
Check that everything on your pack list is packed and returned, including cables, cases and accessories.

Specific event types

Do you hire equipment for weddings?
Yes. We can supply everything from ceremony to dancefloor: PA speakers, DJ equipment, wireless microphones for speeches and black drapes to hide the booth. Add Astera wireless lighting for atmosphere. Tell us about your venue and we'll put a package together.

Do you hire equipment for club nights?
Yes. We carry the equipment you'd find in any serious club: CDJ-3000s, DJM-A9, Xone:96 and Technics 1210s, all in flight cases, fully tested, with all cables included.

Do you hire equipment for corporate events and panel discussions?
Yes. For talks, panels and workshops we supply Shure SLXD24+ wireless microphones, a digital mixer and a PA system for clear, reliable speech. We can add Astera lighting for the space too.

Do you hire equipment for brand activations and pop-ups?
Yes, this is one of our specialities. We work with brands and experiential agencies to create considered sound and lighting for pop-ups, product launches, gallery openings and brand activations. Every setup is designed to look as good as it sounds.

Do you hire Astera lights for outdoor events?
Yes. All Astera products are wireless and battery-powered, so they're ideal for outdoor events where running cables isn't practical.
